Marion Lewin

Marion Lewin (Pasternak), 84, of Lawrenceville died Oct. 18, 2012. A Holocaust survivor born in Wyszogrod, Poland, she was 11 years old when World War II began and was separated from her family. She survived by hiding and working on farms until the war ended, and began a new life in the United States in 1949.

An active volunteer in the Jewish community, Mrs. Lewin authored the memoir No Place for Us My Dear.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey S. of Lawrenceville and Joel of Brookline, Mass.; a brother, Avraham Pasternak of Israel; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 19 at Adath Israel Congregation, Lawrenceville, with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
