Marilyn Wyden
Marilyn “Lynn” Wyden (Block) of Union died July 28, 2019. She was born and raised in Newark and moved to Union 62 years ago.
Mrs. Wyden, an accomplished artist, was a member of the NJ Watercolor Society and won many awards for her paintings.
She graduated from Newark State Teachers’ College with a degree in fine arts.
She was an active member of Temple Israel of Union and its sisterhood and B’nai B’rith Women’s Association.
Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard, and her son, Steven, in 1983, she is survived by her daughter, Gail Wyden-Durran of Union; a sister, Joan Hochman of Cranbury; five grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 30 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
