Marilyn Reingold

Marilyn Cooper Reingold, 88, of Deal Park died Jan. 17, 2015. Born and raised in Newark, she spent many summers at the Jersey shore as a child, moving to the area in 1947. She moved to Deal Park 62 years ago.

Mrs. Reingold graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, in 1943. She attended Newark University (now part of Rutgers).

She was a member of Temple Beth Miriam, Elberon. She was a longtime active volunteer for many causes and charities, including Hadassah, National Council of Jewish Women, and the SPCA. She often donated money and material goods to those in need and was a past member of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Monmouth County.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Irving; two daughters, Lynne Reingold-Hoo (William) of Plainsboro and Robin Reingold-Menell (Raymond) of Ocean; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 18 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
