Marcel Nissim
Marcel Nissim, 91, of Maplewood, a longtime resident of Bordentown, died Jan. 10, 2013. Born in New York City, he grew up in the Bronx and also had resided in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Nissim was the proprietor of Wrightstown Liquors and a partner in Nissim Realty Company for more than 40 years.
Among his many activities, he was president of B’nai Abraham Congregation in Bordentown, served as a trustee at the Bank of Mid-Jersey, and was a member of the Bordentown Planning Board, Bordentown Rotary Club, AUSA, and Greenacres Country Club in Lawrenceville.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, stationed in Europe.
Predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Lee S., he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Phoebe) of Hamilton and Jules (Susan) of West Orange; his daughter, Barbara (Jeffrey) Streisfeld of Hartsdale, NY; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 13 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
