Anne and Jay Marantz of Succasunna announce the engagement of their daughter, Elisa, to Michael Charney, son of Sandy and Jeffrey Charney of Scotch Plains.

Dr. Marantz earned a degree in nutritional science from Pennsylvania State University in 2006 and her doctor of dental medicine from UMDNJ in 2010, and completed a one-year general dentist residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She is a dentist at Princeton Dental Group in Princeton.

Dr. Charney, a graduate of Westfield High School, earned a degree in animal sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, in 2005, continuing directly to Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a one-year internship at Oradell Animal Hospital. He is a veterinarian at Murray Hill Veterinary Associates in New Providence.

A May 2, 2015, wedding is planned.
