Lorraine Erlanger

Lorraine Erlanger (Stern), 82, of Tinton Falls died Nov. 7, 2011. Born in Obernkirchen, Germany, she was a Holocaust survivor who came to the United States in 1946, living in New City, NY, for 32 years before moving to Tinton Falls in 2007.

Mrs. Erlanger was an administrative assistant for the East Ramapo school district for over 20 years.

She was an active member of the Jewish War Veterans’ Ladies Auxiliary.

Predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Sgt. Max, she is survived by two sons, Bernie of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Lenny of Wall; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish War Veterans Lipman/Erlanger Post 756, PO Box 553, New City, NY 10956.
