Local couple make gift to St. Barnabas
Bruce and Lynn Schonbraun of Livingston recently pledged $5 million to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in support of the Cooperman Family Pavilion, the five-story 241,000-square-foot project with parking garage planned for the facility in Livingston. Three generations of the Schonbraun family have had strong ties to SBMC, providing both financial support and personal involvement.
Bruce Schonbraun, a leader in the real estate industry, is an SBMC trustee and chair of the SBMC Expansion Oversight Committee.
“We recognize how important individual philanthropy is to healthcare and, more importantly, to our community hospital,” said Bruce Schonbraun. “Individuals need to realize that leadership gifts take many forms. Our hope is that other people will be inspired to join me and my family to invest in the one service that every single person will ultimately require.”
Barnabas Health president and CEO Barry Ostrowsky said of the Schonbrauns: “We appreciate their expertise, insight, and commitment to Saint Barnabas Medical Center.”
