THE TOWNSHIP OF LIVINGSTON hosted a Yom Ha’Atzmaut concert, festival, and Israeli flag-raising ceremony on Thursday, May 9. The event, a project of the township, the Livingston Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, and the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, featured children’s activities and Israeli dance and daglanut by students at Golda Och Academy and the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy. Federation volunteers included the teen delegation from Mor Metro-West High School in Raanana and the federation’s Peoplehood Project participants and
Rishonim (young emissaries).
