Linda Davis
Linda Davis (Norton), 66, of North Brunswick died May 20, 2014. Born in Louisville, Ky., she resided in North Brunswick for the past 42 years.
Mrs. Davis was an elementary school teacher for the North Brunswick Township School District for over 22 years, working at the John Adams School as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher. She retired in 2012.
She was a graduate of Indiana University with a BA in education and was working toward a master’s degree.
She received a proclamation commending her for her many years of service from the North Brunswick Township Council as well as one thanking her for her many years of service from the town’s board of education.
She was a former PTA president at Lincoln Park School. She was also a member of Dr. Leppert’s Superintendents Council. She was a longtime member of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple and the New Jersey and National education associations.
She is survived by her husband, Robert I.; two sons, Adam (Carly) of Berkeley Heights and Brett (Amy Lewis) of Salt Lake City; a brother, Glenn Norton of Newburgh, Ind.; a sister, Barbara Cohen of Delray Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held May 22 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick
