Lillian Rosenberg
Lillian K. Rosenberg (Kantrowitz), 95, of Plantation, Fla., died Dec. 8, 2013. She grew up in New York City and later lived in Pine Brook, Verona, and Caldwell, before moving to Plantation full time about 20 years ago.
Mrs. Rosenberg worked as office manager for Matzner Publications in West Caldwell and West Orange for many years before her retirement.
She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Caldwell in 1936.
She was very active in the sisterhood of Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, Women’s League for Israel, and B’nai B’rith and was a life member of Hadassah. In 1976 she was honored as Woman of the Year by the Women’s League.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Ellsworth; her daughter, Helaine (Alan) Kanegsberg of Bow, NH; her son, Arthur (Kathryn) of Ooletwah, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held Dec. 10 with arrangements by Star of David Funeral Home, North Lauderdale, Fla.
