Lillian Garfinkel

Lillian E. Mishkit Garfinkel, 95, of Manahawkin died May 6, 2015. Born in Queens, she moved to West Orange in 1953 before retiring to Monroe Township, where she remained until December.

Mrs. Garfinkel was a life member of Hadassah and also volunteered at Daughters of Israel in West Orange and Meals on Wheels in West Orange and Monroe. She was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Clearbrook, Monroe.

Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Donald J., she is survived by her daughter, Sue (Sheldon) Mattison of Manahawkin; her son, Perry of Berkeley, Calif.; a brother, Harold Mishkit of So. Burlington, Vt.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. 

Private services were held with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
