Lester Senior Living to hold open house
Lester Senior Living, based on the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany, will offer an open house for its respite stay program and other residential options on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3:30 p.m.
The short-term respite stays, offered from 10 days to two months at Lester’s Judy & Josh Weston Assisted Living Residence, include a fully decorated and equipped apartment, three meals daily in the community’s dining room, an assistance alert pendant, wellness services from the professional nursing team, and a full range of activities. A pre-stay wellness assessment is conducted.
“Respite stays keep older adults safe and secure under the watchful eye of professional staff while caregivers take a much-needed break, and enable our guests to sample the Lester lifestyle,” said administrator Marlene Glass, LNHA, CALA. Seniors who decide to make their permanent home at Lester Senior Living can convert from respite to permanent residency based on availability.
The community also offers individualized dementia care in its Memory Care Suite — including short-term respite stays there for those who qualify — and independent living in its Margaret & Martin Heller Independent Living Apartments.
