Leonard Reiter
Leonard Reiter, 95, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died April 10, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, he was a longtime resident of West Orange.
Mr. Reiter was employed at the Foster Wheeler Corp. for 40 years before his retirement in 1986. He was also a cantor for over 50 years. He served at the New Milford Jewish Center and was a member of the Cantors’ Assembly and the American Conference of Cantors.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from City College of New York in mechanical engineering.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II.
Predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Dubner), he is survived by his second wife, Rita Tulchiner; two children, Shona Reiter of Stowe, Vt., and David Reiter of Saylorsburg, Pa.; a sister, Anita Glasser of Florida; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 15 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
