Leonard Pivnick

Leonard Pivnick, 81, of Parsippany died March 8, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, he resided in Morris and Monmouth counties for most of his life. 

Mr. Pivnick was the owner and president of Acme Holding, Partridge Run Apartments, and Aliyuee Ben J Stables, owners of distinguished thoroughbreds Meadow Flight and Lubash. 

He was a graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, and Illinois College, where he was a member of the ZBT fraternity. 

He was a member of Pine Brook Jewish Center, and a sponsor of the arts.

He is survived by two sons, Jonathan and Todd; a daughter-in-law, Debra Pivnick; five grandchildren; and his former wife, Ronnie Pivnick.

Services were held March 11 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Old Friends Thoroughbreds, 1841 Paynes Depot Road, Georgetown, KY 40324.
