Leonard Judd

Leonard Judd, 84, of Union died Jan. 10, 2016. Born in Scranton, Pa., he lived in Newark and Cranford before moving to Union 11 years ago. 

Mr. Judd was a processor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Newark for 35 years before retiring; he also served as its union president. 

He was a member of B’nai Ahavath Shalom of Union and Congregation B’nai Israel of Millburn, and was a volunteer for Heart Health, Union Hospital, and Franklin School in Westfield. 

Predeceased by his first wife, Sally, he is survived by his wife, Shirley (Herer), and two nephews, Richard and Alan Yorkowitz. 

Services were held Jan. 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside/Union Hadassah, 1113 Liberty Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
