Leonard Ellman

Leonard Ellman, 80, of Cedar Grove died Sept. 18, 2011. He was a native New Yorker.

Mr. Ellman was the owner of Encore Studio, where he was a supplier of theatrical sets and props for Broadway and television shows, films, and photographers for over 40 years.

He was a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Alliance Crafts of the United States (IATSE-Local 52), the National Association of Broadcast Engineers and Technicians (NABET-Local 15), and the Association of Interior Decorators. A Master Mason, he also was past president of the Theatrical Square Club.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Sharon; his son, Stuart; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 21 with arrangements by Riverside Memorial Chapel, New York, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Golda Och Academy, West Orange.
