Leo Krampf

Leo Krampf, 97, of Mesa, Ariz., died May 13, 2017. Born in Poland and raised in New York, he resided in Plainfield for 50 years before moving to Mesa in 2000. 

Mr. Krampf was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. 

He earned a BS from City College in New York and a law degree from New York University, class of 1952. 

He was a longtime member of Congregation Beth Israel, Scotch Plains (formerly Temple Beth El, Plainfield) and more recently at Temple Beth Sholom of the East Valley, Chandler, Ariz.

A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from September 1942 to November 1945 in Italy and North Africa, ultimately earning the rank of captain.

Predeceased by his wife of more than 64 years, Muriel, he is survived by two sons, Philip of Santa Monica and Eric (Toni) Krampf of Gilbert, Ariz.; three daughters, Eve Etta (Stu Lehrer) of Fair Lawn, Marjorie (Ira) Feinman of Fanwood, and Louise (Michael) Heeman of Mesa; and six grandchildren. 

Services were held May 16 with arrangements by Sinai Mortuary of Phoenix. Memorial contributions can be made to Temple Beth Sholom of the East Valley or Congregation Beth Israel.
