Lenore Gerber
Lenore Gerber (Horowitz), 86, of Yorba Linda, Calif., died May 2, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Linden for 13 years, in Livingston for 32 years, and in Boynton Beach, Fla., for 16 years before moving to California two years ago.
Mrs. Gerber volunteered for many years helping cancer survivors in both New Jersey and Florida. She was a member of B’nai B’rith Women (later Jewish Women International) in both Linden and Livingston.
Predeceased by her husband, Milton J., and her daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Durkin, she is survived by her son, Roy B. (Eileen) of Yorba Linda; a sister, Norma Beer of Morristown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 7 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
