Dr. Laurence E. (Larry) Weil, 82, of Warren died June 26, 2014. Born in New York, he lived in Brooklyn, Queens, and Union before moving to Warren over 20 years ago.
Dr. Weil was a dentist in private practice in Jersey City for over 50 years.
He earned a BS from New York University and a DDS from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, where he was inducted into Sigma Epsilon Delta, the National Dental Honor Society.
He was a member of the American and NJ Dental Societies, the Elks Club of Union, B’nai B’rith of Springfield, Temple Israel of Union and its men’s club, and Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael of Springfield and its men’s club. He was also a supporter of the Newark and Jersey City PBA.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; two daughters, Simone (Robert) Karlsberg of Warren and Jill Weil (Richard) Hirsch of Bridgewater; and four grandchildren.
Services were held June 29 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
