The paternal grandparents are Adrienne and Jerry Hammer of Riverdale, NY. The great-grandmothers are Miriam Mitnick of Short Hills and Rosalind Wallach of Philadelphia. Max Aaron is named after his paternal great-grandfathers Murray Victor Jacoby and Manny Hammer, and his maternal great-grandfathers Arthur Mitnick and Arthur Wallach.
