KUPPERMAN

Anne and Nate Kupperman of West Orange celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Feb. 28. Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston honored them at a Feb. 23 Shabbat service with aliyas and the family donated a yad in honor of the occasion and sponsored the kiddush. Rabbi Geoffrey A. Spector praised their lifetime achievements in the Jewish community, where Nate served as president of Congregation Beth El and Anne led the sisterhood there. Both were honored by numerous organizations, including State of Israel Bonds.

The couple hosted a family dinner March 2 at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange for some 45 guests, including sisters Mildred Grossman and Beatty Fink and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Both retired, Nate owned and operated Nate Kupperman Men’s Clothing and Kupperman & Sons Dry Cleaners in Newark. They are the parents of Maxene Kupperman-Guinals, Arthur, and Stewart and Amy Kupperman, grandparents of four, and great-grandparents of two.
