Kenneth Schoenberg
Kenneth Schoenberg of Mountainside died Dec. 23, 2011. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Mountainside most of his life.
Mr. Schoenberg was the owner of H. Schoenberg Jeweler and Pawn Broker of Jersey City, a family business that he ran for the past 20 years following the death of his father.
He held a BS in business administration from Rutgers University and a juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army as a member of the Judge Advocate General Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Horowitz); his son, Seth of South Orange; his daughter, Amy Segel of Brookline, Mass.; a brother, Paul of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and a grandchild.
Services were held Dec. 26 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
