Kay H. Gilbert, 100, of Livingston died July 13, 2017. Born in the Bronx, she moved many times around the United States and Canada before settling in Livingston in the late 1950s.
Mrs. Gilbert was involved with the choir of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston, Shiru Nah, and Hadassah.
Having recently celebrated her centennial birthday, she was interviewed by the West Essex Tribune and appeared on NBC Channel 4’s Willard Scott’s Smuckers’ labels.
Predeceased by her husband, Reginald E., she is survived by two sons, Harvey (Terri) and Stephen (Ronda); her daughter, Deborah (Larry) Schneiderman; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
