Kate Roth Silver

Kate Roth Silver, 90, of North Wales, Pa., died April 12, 2011. Born in Queens, she was a longtime resident of Yardley and Boca Raton, Fla.

Mrs. Silver was the former executive director of the New Jersey Association on Correction.

An officer and trustee of Har Sinai Temple for many years, she was also active in the Girl Scouts of America, the United Way, Soroptimist Club of Trenton, and the Lower Makefield League of Women Voters.

Predeceased by her husband, Jules N., she is survived by her daughter, Linda Finkle of Langhorne, Pa.; her son, Stuart of Hilton Head Island, SC; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 14 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Abramson Center for Jewish Life, 1425 Horsham Road, North Wales, PA 19454; or the center’s hospice.
