Karen Steiner

Karen Steiner, 43, of Ewing died Feb. 17, 2018. Originally from Scotch Plains and later Millburn, she was a longtime resident of Ewing Township. 

Ms. Steiner was a director of operations at Educational Testing Service in Ewing, where she worked for over 20 years. She also worked at New Jersey Turnpike Authority for nearly 20 years.

A graduate of Rider University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and was close to completing an MBA there as well.

She is survived by Nancy Ruszczyk; her father and stepmother, Joseph and Pam Steiner; her grandfather, Kurt Steiner; a brother, Bryan Steiner; a nephew, Donovan Steiner; Ruszczyk’s children, Matthew, Allison, and Robert (Cynthia); and her stepsisters, Suzanne DelVecchio, Rebecca Bellin, Jessica Donington, Amy Donington, Rachel Donington, Abigail Billek, and Sarah Barry.

Services were held Feb. 21 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to EASEL Animal Rescue League, 4 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, N.J. 08628.
