KAPLAN-WINIKER

Barbara and Dr. Jeffrey N. Kaplan of Livingston announce the engagement of their son, Michael Andrew, to Lauren Traci Winiker, daughter of Rochelle Blum and Richard Winiker of East Brunswick.

Ms. Winiker graduated from University of Delaware, Newark, in 2007 with a bachelor of fine arts in visual communications. She is a graphic designer at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Piscataway.

Mr. Kaplan, a 1999 graduate of Livingston High School, earned a bachelor of science in computer science from University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and a master of science in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.

A May 2011 wedding is planned.
