Jules Fromm

Jules Baron Fromm, 77, of North Brunswick died Jan. 18, 2016. Born in Morristown, he grew up in Plainfield. 

Mr. Fromm entered the family business, Fromm Electric Supply Organization, becoming president and chief executive officer and managing offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. 

He graduated from Plainfield High School’s class of 1956 and RCA Institutes in New York City (now known as TCI College of Technology.)

He served as a sergeant in the Army Reserves. 

An aviation enthusiast, he was a licensed recreational pilot who owned a Piper Comanche airplane and logged many flight hours. He was also a war history buff and collector of wartime memorabilia. He was a ham radio operator with a unique call sign, K2DDT. 

He was a member of Temple Sholom in Plainfield. He was an avid theater patron at theaters in New Jersey, New York City, and Chicago.

He is survived by his daughter, Keira Fromm of Chicago; his son, Keif Fromm of Hillsborough, his former spouse, Jana Scher of Bedminster; and his longtime significant other, Deanna Zollinger of Somerset.

Services were held Jan. 21 with arrangements by Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung.
