Jule Maged

Jule Maged, 85, of Cedar Grove and Cresskill died Oct. 19, 2012.

Mrs. Maged and her husband were part of the founding group of Temple Sholom of West Essex in Cedar Grove, where she served as sisterhood president. She also volunteered on the Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad and at Mountainside Hospital, as well as serving as a Cub and Girl Scout leader. She was involved with Project Linus, an organization that crochets blankets for needy individuals and children.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; two sons, Martin and Mitchell; her daughter, Joyce Bivone; and five grandchildren.

Services were held on Oct. 21 at Temple Sholom with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Sholom.
