Judy Tames
Judy Tames (Kraus), 89, died Jan. 17, 2014. Born in Hungary, she was a Holocaust survivor and immigrated to the United States after World War II, residing in New York City. She met and married her late husband, Walter, in 1948, and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Hillside, where she continued to raise her family.
Mrs. Tames worked as a salesperson for Maison Petite Boutique in Elizabeth and was a member of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization.
Predeceased by her husband in 1999, she is survived by two daughters, Joanne Tames of Springfield and Elizabeth Tames of Lebanon, Pa.; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Jan. 19 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
