Judith Wiener

Judith Wiener (Zaenchik), 96, of Tega Cay, S.C., died July 3, 2017. Born in Staten Island, she was formerly of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; Chester; Roseland; and Newark.

Ms. Wiener was the owner of Econo-Car in Caldwell and Harbor Hills Day Camp in Mount Freedom. Prior to becoming a business owner, she worked for Lurite in Newark and The Concord in the Catskills.

Prior to becoming a business owner, she volunteered for The Mother’s March (later known as the March of Dimes) in Newark. Her success in raising money for the fight against polio resulted in her two children being the first to receive the Salk vaccine in Newark.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Chase of North Carolina.

Services were held July 6 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
