Judith Rothenberg

Judith Iris Rothenberg (Goldstein), 81, of Rumson and Clearwater, Fla., died Aug. 23, 2017. She was born in Newark and grew up in Maplewood. 

Mrs. Rothenberg graduated from Highland Manor High School in Long Branch and received a B.A. in education from Boston University.

She was a board member of Monmouth University Library, the Henry Pollak Auxiliary of Monmouth Medical Center, and Monmouth Symphony League and a former board member of the SPCA of Monmouth County. She also supported the Monmouth County Opera Guild, the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, Planned Parenthood, and 180 Turning Lives Around.

Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Eugene, on July 29, she is survived by two daughters, Jill Adler of Marblehead, Mass., and Ava Lawrence of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a sister, Robin Rabin of Springfield; and two grandchildren. 

Services were held Aug. 28 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Monmouth County.
