Joyce Pravda, 64, of Westfield died April 1, 2014. She was born in Queens and raised in Malvern, NY. After her marriage, she lived for a short time in Des Moines, Iowa, before returning to Staten Island and later settling in Westfield.
Mrs. Pravda was a medical assistant for her husband’s practice and a homemaker.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas; her daughter, Leigh (Seth) Weingarten of New York City; her son, Matthew (Leigh) of Hoboken; her parents, Bernard and Elaine Kite of Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Susan Samuels of Illinois; and four grandchildren.
Services were held April 4 at Temple Emanu-El, Westfield, with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
