Joseph Weinbuch
Joseph Weinbuch, 89, of Springfield died July 24, 2014. Born in Kurov, Poland, in 1924, he was a Holocaust survivor who escaped to the woods before eventually joining an underground movement to help liberate concentration camps. Only he and his brother David survived the war. He came to the United States in 1949.
Mr. Weinbuch was a businessman.
He was a member of B’nai B’rith of Springfield.
Predeceased by his wife, Doris Fulda, in 1991, he is survived by three daughters, Rita Davidson Barnea of West Orange, Lorraine Marks (Robert) Field of Boca Raton, Fla., and Debbie (Perry) Weinstock of Cherry Hill; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 25 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
