Joseph Sheridan
Joseph Sheridan, 81, of Margate, Fla., died Sept. 3, 2014. He was born in Newark and lived in the Jersey shore area before moving to Florida many years ago.
Mr. Sheridan was a firefighter for the City of Newark.
He was a member of Jewish War Veterans’ Post 125 of Asbury Park-Ocean Township. He was also active at the Jewish Community Center in Deal Park.
Predeceased by his wife, Esther (Epstein), in 1992, he is survived by his stepdaughter, Linda Hyman Shear of Florham Park.
Services were held Sept. 8 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
