Joseph Heinowitz

Joseph Heinowitz, 93, of East Hanover died Dec. 26, 2012. Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood for 35 years before moving to East Hanover 30 years ago.

Mr. Heinowitz had been the president of Emco Fittings Corp in Fairfield.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Cedar Hill Country Club and an avid duplicate bridge player.

Predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Doris (Greenberg), he is survived by two daughters, Barbara David and Carole (Joe) Wiatr; a brother, Milton; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 28 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for Neuroblastoma Research, Lock Box 1352, PO Box 8500, Philadelphia, PA 19178.
