Jonathan I. Gittleman, 86, of Lawrenceville died Feb. 9, 2013. Born in Newark, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for many years.
Dr. Gittleman was a physicist at The Franklin Institute and RCA for many years before retiring.
He received an MS and PhD from Rutgers University.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He served as a volunteer at Recording for the Blind and Interfaith Caregivers.
He is survived by his wife, Gilda Scheyer Gittleman; three sons, Ronald (Diane), Dean (Elizabeth), and Neal (Cindy); four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Feb. 12 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
