Jill Fisher-Glatt
Jill Fisher-Glatt (Meyerson), 73, of Monroe Township died Jan. 20, 2011. Born in New York City, she resided in Edison for 23 years before moving to Monroe in 1989.
Mrs. Fisher-Glatt taught English for over 30 years in Edison at the Woodbrook School and Woodrow Wilson Middle School until her retirement in 1999.
She received her BS in elementary education from Boston University and a master’s in administration and supervision from Kean University, Union.
She was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Concordia, Monroe, and was very active in the Concordia community, working on various committees, serving as president of the Concordia Golf Course for two years, and golfing for 20 years. She was also very involved with Brandeis National Council, where she was president of its study groups for two years.
Predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Richard Arnold Fisher, in 1986, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Edward Glatt; three sons, Aaron Jed Fisher of Tucson, Ariz., Douglas Cory Fisher of Miami, and Alan Glatt of New York City; a sister, Renee Perlman of Monroe; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 23 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, New Brunswick.
