Jewish Family Service of MetroWest to host ‘An Evening of Laughter’
JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE of MetroWest (JFS) will hold its annual “An Evening of Laughter” on Thursday, June 7, at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael in Springfield. The program will benefit JFS’ programs and services.
JFS is honoring two couples for their partnership with JFS and Rachel Coalition, Nancy and Robert Eskow of Livingston, and Carrie and Jed Nussbaum of Short Hills. Both couples have volunteered their time and expertise over many years in a variety of capacities. Both the Eskows and Nussbaums are founding members of the JFS Major Gifts Society; Nancy is a JFS past president and member of the JFS executive committee. Carrie also serves on the JFS executive committee and is currently a cochair of Next Generation @ JFS.
The featured performer will be comedian John Heffron who was the winner of the second season on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and is a regular on late-night comedy programs. Audiences of all ages relate to his enthusiastic, hard-won wisdom, recognizing how the path to maturity is often marked by universal triumphs and failures.
New this year is a Rose Raffle organized by Next Generation @ JFS. For $20 or $40, attendees will be able to purchase a rose and enter the Rose Raffle; every rose wins a prize.
General admission tickets are $180 per person and include entry to a 7 p.m. cocktail reception, an 8 p.m. performance, and dessert. A $360 per person benefactor ticket also includes a private cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. JFS is also offering a Young Professionals ticket at $90 per person.
