‘Jewish Art of Adar Darnov’
Local artist Adar Darnov will present a program and discussion on his Jewish artwork on Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County in Freehold.
Darnov, who works and lives in Marlboro, is a recent graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work includes Rededication: The Art of Hanukkah and is on display in a solo exhibit at New York University Hillel.
At the museum, he will screen slides of his work, talk about the process behind their creation, and show examples from the early stages of different paintings, as well as models and photographs used to translate reality into art. Digital paintings make up the majority of Darnov’s portfolio, and he will discuss the differences between digital and traditional media.
Admission is $10, $8 for members; call 732-252-6990, or visit jhmomc.org.
