Jerome J. Kaplan, 92, of Livingston died Oct. 17, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, he grew up in Jersey City.
Prior to serving as an Army sergeant during World War II, he started working part-time for New York Folding Box Co., a family business to which he would devote 70 years of his life. He rose through the ranks and retired as president.
He attended New York University.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Dr. A. Carol Kaplan; three sons, David, Kenneth, and Gregg; a sister, Lillian Barshop, a brother, Edward; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 19 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
