Jerome G. Friedman
Jerome G. Friedman, 86, of Short Hills died Sept. 16, 2010. He was born in Newark and lived in West Orange before moving to Short Hills in 1974.
Mr. Friedman was an engineer and the owner and operator of Friedman Associates, an electrical engineering firm in Springfield, for 35 years before retiring in the late 1990s.
He was a past president of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), a national organization.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Breitbart); his daughter, Nancy Friedman-Cohen of Somerset; his son, Richard A. of New York City; a brother, Robert of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 19 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
