Jenny Holt, 93, of Freehold died July 19, 2016. Born in Lodz, Poland, she was a Holocaust survivor who met her husband, Irving, after liberation and immigrated to the United States in 1946. She lived in Newark, Hillside, and Springfield and Lauderhill, Lake Worth, and Palm Beach, Fla., before moving to Freehold in 2011.
Mrs. Holt had a career at Saks Fifth Avenue in Springfield as a manager in a number of departments.
She was a member of Sinai Congregation in Hillside and Temple Beth Tikvah in Lake Worth. She also was a painter and sculptor.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years; her daughter, Dot (Frank) Cheriff of Monroe Township; her son, Allan (Shelley) Holt of Washington, DC; two sisters, Esther Drew of West Orange and Sally Wolfe of Los Angeles; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
Services were held July 21 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
