Jean Hartman (Butkovsky) of Union died Nov. 24, 2015. She was born in Elizabeth, where she resided for many years.
Mrs. Hartman was employed by Industrial Food Craft, Elizabeth, as a bookkeeper and switchboard operator for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Hammond Organ Society and was an accomplished organist. She was also a ballet dancer who danced for the U.S.O. during World War II.
Predeceased by her husband, William, she is survived by her niece, Gloria Segel of Union; her nephew, Fred Wachtel of Maplewood; and five grandnephews.
Services were held Nov. 27 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
