Jay Alan Panter
Jay Alan Panter, 78, of Monroe Township died Feb. 15, 2011. He was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Edison before moving to Monroe 12 years ago.
Mr. Panter was a financial adviser for Wells Fargo in East Brunswick and was the former owner of Panter Motors in Perth Amboy.
He was a graduate of Rutgers Prep and received his bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
He was a Korean War veteran who served as a naval officer on a destroyer.
An avid airplane enthusiast, he was a member of the Operators and Pilots Association.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Pollock); his son, Steven of Lawrenceville; his daughter, Bonnie Weinrib of Bethesda, Md.; his brother, Barry of California; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 16 at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, New Brunswick, with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
