James Weintraub
James Weintraub, 79, of Wanaque died June 6, 2018. Born in Berlin, he came to Brooklyn in 1939 with his parents and was a Montville resident for over 35 years.
Mr. Weintraub’s career spanned many years with Sun Chemical Corporation and he retired as a vice president. He then went on to fulfill a life-long dream of owning a business.
He graduated from City College of New York with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering and later earned a master of science in industrial engineering from New York University.
He was an active member of Congregation Agudath Israel, Caldwell, and an ardent supporter of Jewish causes.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy (Cirkus); three sons, Barry (Ruby), Steve (Julie), and Mark (Allison); two daughters, Debra (Christopher) and Lani (Bruce); and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held June 8 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Agudath Israel’s Jim Weintraub Adult Lectures Fund.
