Jacob Solomon
Jacob Solomon, 90, of Monroe Township died Nov. 24, 2013. Born in Linden, he resided there for 28 years before moving to Monroe in 1989.
Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Solomon was a salesman for Macy’s at Menlo Park, where he worked for 30 years.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II from 1943 to 1946 and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post #609, Monroe.
He was a member of Knights of Pythias, B’nai B’rith, and the Concordia chapter of Deborah, all in Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Fein Solomon; his son, Rick R. of Seattle; his daughter, Cheryl Joan Solomon of East Brunswick; and a grandchild.
Services were held Nov. 26 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
