Jack Weg
Jack Weg, 94, of Freehold died Jan. 21, 2018. Born in Jerusalem in pre-state Israel, he came to the United States in 1929. He resided in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens before moving to the Ft. Lauderdale area of Florida and to Freehold seven years ago.
Mr. Weg was an office manager for Jerry Elsner Toy Co. in New York for 30 years before retiring.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sylvia (Mauskopf); his son, Allen of East Brunswick; two daughters, Marilyn Starr of South Windsor, Conn., and Rosalyn Goldman of East Hanover; a brother, Aaron Weg of Israel; a sister, Minnie Mechanic of Florida; and six grandchildren.
