Jack Kessler

Jack Kessler, 88, of Verona died July 4, 2014. He immigrated from Poland and Germany via Cherbourg, France, to the United States in 1937. He was formerly of Livingston, Asbury Park, and the Bronx. 

For decades, Mr. Kessler was the owner of 21st Street Wine & Liquors in New York City.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen (Berman); two sons, Andy (Jane) and Marty; his daughter, Ginny (Jeff) Roth; a brother, Julius; and seven grandchildren.

Services were held July 6 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to One Family Fund at Temple B’nai Abraham, Livingston, or National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
