Jack Kaplowitz
Jack Kaplowitz, 98, of Delray Beach, Fla., died April 17, 2012. He was born in Passaic.
Mr. Kaplowitz founded the Birch Lumber Co. and was a member of the Valley National Bank Advisory Board.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
He was a member of Green Brook Country Club, North Caldwell, and the Hamlet Country Club, Delray Beach.
Predeceased by his first wife, Ruth, he survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Bob Kaplowitz, Jerry Korde of Livingston, Brynn Block, and Debbie Parelskin; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 20 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
