Jack Baumgarten
Jack Baumgarten, 92, of Whippany died April 5, 2014. Born in the Bronx, he also had lived in Newark, Livingston, and Lake Worth, Fla.
Mr. Baumgarten owned B&W Packing Co. and Martin Packing Co., food businesses in Newark.
He served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps stationed in North Africa.
He was a member of the building committee of the original Temple Beth Shalom, Livingston, in the early 1950s.
He was an avid bowler and golfer at Braidburn Country Club, now Brooklake Country Club, in Florham Park.
Predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Mildred, he is survived by his daughter, Janet (Richard) Rosoff; his son, Mark (Grace); and two grandsons.
Services were held April 8 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
